IMPORTANT UPDATE 26th MARCH 2020: Carsington 7+ 2020 postponed due to the Covid-19 situation in the UK

Due to the developments with the Covid-19 outbreak and following the announcement from UK Athletics which states that all licenced athletic events within the UK have been suspended until 31st May, the Carsington 7+ race originally planned for Sunday 17th May has been postponed.  We have been working with the local authorities and Carsington Water and are pleased to confirm the new date as Sunday 20th September 2020.

All runners who have already entered this year’s event will automatically be entered into the race on the rescheduled date.  If runners are unable to make the new date, their entries can be deferred until 2021’s event, confirmed as Sunday 16th May 2021.  An email has been sent to all entered runners.

We appreciate your understanding on this postponement, wish you all good health during this difficult time and look forward to welcoming you to the event on the 20th September.

Carsington 7+ is a 7.76 mile (12.5km) race around the stunning Carsington Reservoir.

Runners complete a full clockwise circuit of the reservoir, taking in spectacular views across the water and the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Mainly on cycle track, the course is flat in places but includes some moderate to steep inclines.

We welcome everyone over 17 who wants to run whatever their ability or experience.

We are proud to support Derby & District RSPCA as the official headline charity.

The event is proud to be part of the RunDerby Race Series. Click here to learn more.
